The State of North Dakota is ranked 2nd in the United States among all states in the production of oil and gas. North Dakota produces more than 525 million barrels of oil and 1 trillion cubic feet of natural gas per year. 

The North Dakota Industrial Commission announced today that nine projects have received funding commitments from North Dakota Housing Finance Agency (NDHFA) to support the construction or rehabilitation of almost 500 affordable housing units statewide.

Standard & Poor’s (S&P) affirmed Bank of North Dakota’s (BND) credit rating as “A+” and “A-1” for long-term and short-term credit, respectively, in its annual review released Oct. 25, 2019.

The North Dakota Industrial Commission will hold a public hearing to consider comments on natural gas capture strategy and regulatory clarity needed around gas gathering agreements. The goal of the Commission is to enforce a regulatory framework that provides for fewer service interruptions on gathering pipelines which would encourage quicker and larger infrastructure expansion, and increase the value of North Dakota’s oil and natural gas production. The hearing will be held on Friday, November 15, at 9 a.m., CT, in the Conference Room of the North Dakota Oil and Gas Division, 1000 E Calgary Avenue, Bismarck North Dakota.

The North Dakota Industrial Commission has established a special grant round and is currently accepting applications through October 21st for the North Dakota Renewable Energy Program. The program funds projects that involve research and development of renewable energy technologies that have strong growth potential in North Dakota.

The North Dakota Industrial Commission recently established a special grant round for the North Dakota Oil and Gas Research Program and is currently accepting applications through September 16th.

The North Dakota Industrial Commission (Commission) has approved $500,000 in Renewable Energy Program funds to Packet Digital, Fargo, for a project to enhance the design of a portable solar power generation system for military and commercial applications. This project will simplify the manufacturing and assembly of the portable solar power units as well as achieve compliance certifications.

The Industrial Commission of North Dakota today approved $5,199,095 in Outdoor Heritage Fund grants for 11 conservation and recreation projects benefiting communities across the state.

The Industrial Commission of North Dakota today issued a Resolution of Appreciation to Jolene Kline for her 34 years of service to the North Dakota Housing Finance Agency (Agency). Ms. Kline had informed the Commission of her retirement effective July 1, 2019.
